Ground-breaking ceremony for new production hall: more space for innovation!
With the joint ground-breaking ceremony by the management of KRASO GmbH & Co. KG, representatives of the construction companies GIESERSBAU and Weidemann & Schillings as well as the project manager BPF GmbH, the go-ahead was given for the construction of a further production hall for the waterproofing specialist from Westmünsterland.
The expansion of the production site on Baumannweg by an additional 6,000 square metres of land with a production hall of approx. 4,300 square metres of production space and a further 4,000 square metres of warehouse space creates room for the constantly growing product portfolio of KRASO GmbH & Co. KG. Since its foundation in 1981, KRASO has continuously developed its product programme and has become the provider of probably the most comprehensive range of innovative sealing solutions and water pressure tight installation parts for concrete engineering. From the sealing of construction and expansion joints to the gas- and water pressure tight entry and outlet of utility lines and the rehabilitation of existing buildings exposed to pressurised water, KRASO offers solutions that are simple and tight. KRASO places great importance to manufacturing all products with high-quality components and produces these itself as far as possible in order to guarantee consistent quality. In the area of joint sealing, KRASO has supplemented and expanded its product portfolio with the KRASOflex brand. KRASO has also continued to expand the area of utility connection entries, so that space has become tight at the new company premises built on Baumannweg in 2019. New production lines and additional storage space are being created in the new hall for the approximately 150 employees in order to be able to supply the numerous customers at home and abroad quickly.
Company founder Jürgen Krasemann Sr. is delighted with the positive development of the company, which is now being managed by his sons Jürgen and Dennis in the second generation: ‘Descending from Rhede, I am of course particularly pleased that a one-man company with one assistant has become one of Rhede's largest employers!’ Christoph Bölting from the management team adds: ‘The fact that we were able to find a new company location in Rhede in 2019, which can now be expanded, is particularly valuable for us. Because we are firmly rooted in the town and the region.’ The new production hall should be completed by the end of the year.
